Let me start of by saying that as I had envisaged the reins are wonderful. Top quality workmanship and a real attention to detail, thank you so very much. The wrist link and extra wrist attachments are also a perfect size, I’m not getting out of them!

Finally, as much as I adore your authentic navy harnesses I would also love to recreate some of the other traditional webbing harness styles from my childhood. If I were to provide a set of vintage webbing reins to you via post, might it be possible for you to ‘upgrade’ them to fit my size? This would likely involve a different width of webbing as the breastplate / harness buckle tend to fit a thinner strip of webbing thaan that which is used on your adult harnesses.

Thank you for humoring my questions and concerns. I misunderstood what you meant by locking buckles. I understand how the buckles work, and they are very effective (trust me!). I was worried about the buckles and clasps being weak, they seem stronger than my first thoughts. I guess I thought that the breastplate, and the buckle on the harness were going to be metal, as well. It seems that you also included the crotch strap handcuffs, thanks! I found a good way to incorporate those in to the main harness to further restrict movement. Thank you for your quick turn around on making the harness. I am very satisfied with the harness, I think I ordered it one size too big, though. The waist belt is slightly loose when it’s fully tightened. When the bed restraints are connected, it does pull the belt a little tighter. As I said before, I am happy with the harness, and look forward to getting a ton of use out of it. Again, I apologize for my confusion, and thank you for the further information.B.

Dear June, Just to let you know my harness and reins arrived today. I am absolutely delighted with them. The steel fittings upgrade is well worth the extra, very substantial. If you want to use this as a testimonial please feel free. The crossed shoulder straps* are especially effective as well. Just a couple of ideas for developing the harness that you may wish to use (or not). If anchor straps were supplied with D rings* as an optional extra it would be possible to use padlocks to attach the harness making it even more secure. If a couple of short pieces of webbing were sewn together in the middle with buckles at each end they would make a sort of handcuff.* The crotch strap could be threaded through and attached to the back of the harness thus keeping the hands out of the way. I know that you supply a harness with wrist restraints for this very purpose but the above would give the option of using or not using a wrist restraint as required. It could also be supplied as an upgrade. Thank you again for a superb product. I hope to order from you again sometime in the future.

Hi June! Just to let you know the Harness arrived this morning. The pictures for the Steel Upgrade just don’t do it any justice, they are soo much better. I would like to write and tell you that the harness has arrived and put to good use! I have put my baby boy in his overalls, and took him to town, when we arrived at the busy shopping mall downtown, I pulled it from my purse and put him in it. He was a little shocked and resistant, but he wore it anyway! (He did’nt have a choice). I attached the rein/leash and he was unable to stray away from me while shopping at the busy stores. It is of fine quality!, Thank you.
